World premiere for Southern-themed movie being held in Myrtle Beach

A new film executive-produced and narrated by Jeff Foxworthy will debut in Myrtle Beach.

The world premiere of Crackerjack takes place Thursday night at the Grand 14 Theater at Market Common in Myrtle Beach at 7:00.

A question and answer session will follow at 9:15 p.m.

The movie follows the character Bill "Crackerjack" Bailey who is in love with softball.

He and his girlfriend Sherry share a home and he is faced with losing his true love or confronting his impending fatherhood.

The Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce sponsored the world premiere event and it benefits the Grand Strand Miracle League, which gives individuals with special needs the opportunity to play softball and soccer.

Crackerjack is rated PG-13 and opens September 13.
