Woman shoved off her bike and robbed while heading home

A 21-year-old woman said she was shoved off her bicycle while she was heading home from work Wednesday night, according to a police report.

Myrtle Beach police officers were called to 1500 Highway 15 just after midnight Thursday.

The victim said around 11:45 p.m. she was heading south bound on the highway, when she heard a man yell "put it down."

She said that is when she was pushed off her bike, and the man took her purse, according to the report.

The victim said a second man was watching nearby, and both men took off running north bound on the highway.

A witness told officers that she went outside of her home after she heard the woman screaming.

She told police she saw both men get into a vehicle, then cut through the parking lot of Al's Food Mart and head south on Highway 15.

Police said the two men could be connected to another armed robbery reported Wednesday night, because of the "timeline, proximity and suspects' descriptions," according to the report.
