Officers are investigating a shooting in Myrtle Beach.
Police responded to Grand Strand Medical Center to meet with the victim on Sunday morning.
The victim told police that she went to an apartment on N. Ocean Blvd. She began to smoke synthetic marijuana while on a man's couch, according to the police report.
She told officers that the man was playing with a gun, when it went off and a round hit her in the face.
A witness was outside when he saw the victim come out of the apartment, telling him to drive her to the hospital.
Police are trying to find the male suspect to get his side of the story.
At this point, the shooting appears to be accidental based on what the victim said, according to David Knipes, spokesperson with Myrtle Beach police.
Police are still investigating.
