Woman pulled from pool unconscious in North Myrtle Beach

North Myrtle Beach public safety units were dispatched to a possible drowning at the community pool in the Tidewater subdivision just before 4 p.m. Thursday.

When officials arrived on scene, a man and woman were performing CPR on the victim, according to North Myrtle Beach spokesman Pat Dowling.

Witnesses say the victim was in the kiddie pool and had asked a friend for a refreshment. Minutes later, the victim was floating unconscious in the pool.

EMS took the woman to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Dowling says the victim had a pulse at the hospital.
