Woman hurt and sent to hospital after fight in club

A 24-year-old woman is recovering after being hurt around 5 a.m Thursday, during a fight at Club 503 on 8th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach, according to a police report.

Officers were called to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for the assault Thursday morning.

A witness told police a fight broke out at the club that morning. The victim said she saw her friend involved in the fight and was trying to help, when she said a man grabbed her from behind with his hands around her neck, according to the report.

She told police she didn't see the man's face.

The witness saw the victim bleeding from her neck and she tried to stop the bleeding, then drove the victim to the hospital.

The victim had four cuts to her neck, back and right side of her body and she had to get stitches.
