Woman faces at least one charge after troopers say she hit four parked cars

One of the cars damaged in the car crash Thursday morning

A woman will be charged with Driving Under the Influence after she ran off Socastee Boulevard into the parking lot of a car dealership and hit four parked cars, according to Senior Trooper Hannah Wimberly with South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Wimberly said Alisha Brown will be charged as soon as she is released from the hospital.

Wimberly said Brown and a passenger were heading east on Socastee Boulevard around 3:30 Thursday morning when Brown went off the left side of the road and into the parking lot of Socastee Auto Sales. The Lincoln they were in then caught fire.

Brown and the passenger tried to walk away from the wreck, according to Wimberly, but she said Horry County Police later found them walking on the side of a road.

Brown could also be charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Wimberly said.
