Woman dies after nightclub shooting

Horry County Coroner Robert Edge says Apricia Brockington, 25, of Myrtle Beach died at the Medical University of South Carolina from complications of a shooting at Tequila Empire on February 25.

Edge says an autopsy will be done tomorrow at MUSC in Charleston.

Brockington was shot in the stomach about 2 a.m. at the club off South Kings Highway.

Police say that two men were reported exiting the bar and making their way to the back of the building. A security guard saw one man pull out a gun and shoot into a group of people standing behind the club. The security guard said he then shot at the shooter, according to a police report.

The shooter then jumped into a car driver by the other man, and both sped off.

Myrtle Beach police say no arrests have been made. The shooting is still under investigation.
