A woman and two children were taken to the hospital Monday when they were struck by a vehicle in their front yard on Jerusalem Drive near Hemingway.
The accident happened just after 5:00 Wednesday evening, when a car passing by the residence blew out a tire, Highway Patrol Trooper Bridget Wyant said.
The 42-year-old man who was driving over-corrected and went off the left side of the road.
The car plowed through two yards, hitting a parked car and striking the woman and children before flipping over and coming to a stop.
The woman was air lifted to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. One of the children was taken to Georgetown Memorial Hospital by EMS, the other was taken there by a family member.
The driver was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured. The accident is still under investigation.
