Vivian Wood, 54, of Clio, is charged with Forgery Less Than $5,000.

The arrest warrant says Woods accepted $720 in payment for collecting signatures on a petition in Marlboro County for a sheriff's candidate and some of the signatures were forged.

Woods admitted to collecting the signatures on the petition and to accepting money, according to the warrant.

Agents with the State Law Enforcement Division arrested Woods Wednesday afternoon.

She's being held at the Marlboro County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
