American red cross helps Windsor Green victims

WPDE NewsChannel 15 will be with the American Red Cross Thursday, March 21 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. as the agency accepts donations for its relief efforts in the wake of the Windsor Green condo fire.

The fire, which started as a grass fire Saturday evening, spread to the Windsor Green complex and destroyed 109 condos in 26 buildings.

About 190 people were left homeless

The Red Cross has been offering emotional support, meals and guidance to the victims in the days following the fire.

We'll be live from the fundraiser and hope to see you out there!

The fundraiser is located at the north end of the Tanger Outlet Mall on Highway 501 near the Nike and Brooks Brothers Stores.
