Wilmington man charged with 70 counts of sexual offenses with a child

A Wilmington man remains in the Brunswick County Detention Facility Thursday morning, facing 70 counts of first degree sex offense with a child, according to Emily Flax with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office.

Amos Lavon Hardy, 36, of Wilmington is being held on $600,500 bond. He was previously charged with three counts of statutory rape/sexual offense and second degree rape on February 10th, 2014.

Wilmington Police also served warrants on behalf of the BCSO, charging Angela Renee Wallace, 36, also of Wilmington, with 40 counts of felony child abuse -sexual act. Her bond is set at $750,000.

The incidents occurred between 2006 and 2014 and occurred at various locations, including Southport, NC.
