WestJet starts service to Myrtle Beach Thursday

WestJet will start new, nonstop air service from Toronto Pearson International Airport to Myrtle Beach International Airport Thursday.

Service will be offered twice weekly, Thursday and Sunday through October 2013 on 136-seat, Boeing 737 aircraft.

"The introduction of WestJet at Myrtle Beach International Airport is great news for the traveling public," stated Michael La Pier, Horry County Director of Airports. "WestJet's nonstop service from Toronto to Myrtle Beach should be a popular choice for people visiting our great market and for locals wanting to visit Canada's largest city."

The new air service offered by WestJet is timed to allow travelers to catch a majority of connecting flights at Toronto Pearson International Airport, opening up the majority of Canada to Myrtle Beach.
