An empty warehouse in Fairmont, North Carolina is a total loss after an early morning fire, according to Fairmont Mayor Charles Kemp.
Kemp said the former Blown Rite Insulation warehouse on Morro Street is not currently in use.
He said a fire started there Thursday around 5 a.m.
Kemp said the building was fully engulfed.
Crews with three departments fought the fire, which was put out around 8:30 a.m.
The fire actually broke out right next to the Fairmont Fire Department, which is downtown.
Investigators with the Robeson County Sheriff's Department are trying to figure out what caused the fire.
