Waccamaw EOC votes to keep board member

Wednesday night residents of Horry County who showed up to a meeting about the Waccamaw EOC voted to keep a board member.

The state agency that provides funding to the EOC issued an audit recently that found the board of directors is out of compliance on a number of issues.

They say the elections of Abdullah Mustafa and Wade Sessions were illegal, and a reassessment was suggested.

Wednesday night the vote was 28 to 22 to keep Sessions on the board.

Tuesday night voters overwhelmingly said they did not want Mustafa on the board.
