Votes recounted in Conway City Council election

Because less than 1% separated two candidates for a seat on Conway City Council after the November 8th election, state law mandates that a recount of the votes be held.

After the recount today, the Conway Election Commission determined there would be a runoff between Tom Anderson and Randy Alford.

Anderson garnered 603 votes and Alford, 598.

The runoff will be held Tuesday, November 22nd.

Two other seats were filled in the election. Barbara Jo Blain-Olds and Larry White were elected.
