Victim identified in deadly Marion County crash

The victim of a deadly car crash that occurred Friday morning in Marion County has been identified.

Roneit Ahjewel Hagans, 24, of Arizona, was identified as the victim by Marion County Deputy Coroner James Lee.

The wreck occurred around 1 a.m. Friday on Highway 378 and the Pee Dee River Bridge.

One car traveling on Hwy. 378 crossed the center line and hit another car head-on, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The driver of the car that was hit head-on died, and a female passenger was airlifted to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to McLeod Health with non-life-threatening injuries.

Both cars caught fire and burned following the crash, according to troopers on scene.
