The North All-Stars swept the South All-Stars in both the boys and girls games at North Myrtle Beach High on Saturday afternoon. In the girls game, the North beat the South 77-69. Marion's Candice Wright finished her high school career with 10 points for the South All-Stars. Myrtle Beach High's Keyaurna Wilson scored four points for the South. Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's Melinda Brimfield was MVP scoring 18 points for the winning North squad.
In the boys game, the North stars beat the South 96-78. Jerry Holmes from York scored 15 points and was named MVP. It was the final high school game for head coach John Trussell of North Myrtle Beach High. He stepped down following the regular season and coached the South All-Stars on his home court.
Four area boys played on the South All-Star team. WPDE's Mister Hoop Zone, Sammie Davs from Darlington scored six points. Charles Green from Creek Bridge led the South with 14 points, Wilson's Justin Kelly had four points and Mullins center Kenny Wayne Jackson was held scoreless.
