The seasonally-adjusted uneployment rate in South Carolina stayed at 5.3 percent last month, which shows no change since April, according to the SC Department of Employment and Workforce.
An estimated 115,583 people were unemployed in June, showing an increase of 630 people over the month.
The number of people employed went down by 847, totaling 2,050,128.
Since June 2013, the state's unemployment rate fell by 2.5 percentage points.
The unemployment rate in the U.S. declined to 6.1 percent in June from 6.3 percent in May.
