Typhoon survivors still waiting for more aid

TACLOBAN, Philippines - Local authorities in the eastern Philippines struggle to deal with the enormity of Friday's typhoon that may have left 10,000 people dead, and maybe more.

Most residents of the hardest hit city of Tacloban spent Monday night under pouring rain, either in the ruins of their homes or in the open along roadsides and damaged trees.

Some slept under tents brought in by the government or aid groups.

So far little international aid has arrived.
