Two people charged in connection with abuse of Robeson County child
Robeson County, N.C. (WPDE) —
Two people have been charged Friday in connection with the abuse of an 11-month-old baby last week in the Pembroke community of Robeson County, according to Robeson County Sheriff Ken Sealey.
Sealey said Eric Patrick Locklear, 39, is charged with felony inflicting great bodily injury on a child 16 years or younger.
He added Amy Locklear, 30, is charged with felony child abuse.
The little girl was taken to University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Medical Center after being badly hurt last weekend at a Pembroke home, Sealey said.
He said the child is doing better.
Sealey didn't release the suspect's relationship to the child.
More information could be released next week.
Both are being held at the Robeson County Detention Center on $100,000 bond for Amy Locklear and $200,000 bond for Eric Locklear.
