Two people arrested following car chase

Two people have been arrested in connection with a car chase that took place on Highway 707 about 12:45 pm Wednesday.
Surfside Beach police arrested Amanda Michelle Lankford, 20, of Garden City and charged her with Strong Armed Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy.
Lankford is being held on a $15,000 bond, and charges are pending from Myrtle Beach police.
Myrtle Beach police also arrested Joshua Maurice Redmond, 21, of Myrtle Beach on Friday.
He is being charged with Accessory After the Fact to a Felony and Criminal Conspiracy.
Redmond is being held by Myrtle Beach police on additional charges, and is scheduled to appear in Surfside Beach Friday for a bond hearing.
"It is great to finally get these offenders off the street to stop further victimization of citizens, especially during this Holiday Season," Surfside Beach interim police chief Rodney Keziah said.
Several police agencies responded to the chase.
Officers tried to stop Redmond's SUV in connection with a stolen cell phone, when the he led police on a chase down Holmestown Boulevard, Highway 707 and into the subdivision, according to a police report.
Once they turned into the subdivision, the officer said they ran out of the car
Redmond is also charged with stealing a vehicle involving a stolen golf cart out of Myrtle Beach, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.
