Two more arrested in Loris Shooting

LORIS, S.C. (WPDE) - Loris Police Chief Joe Vaught says Christopher Edwards, 19, and Densel Hemmingway, 20, both of Tabor City, were arrested Friday after an incident that happened on Watson Street on August 9.

Both face six charges of Attempted Murder, Macilous Injury to Animals, Personal Property, or Individuals, Discharging a Weapon inside a Dwelling, and Possessing a Weapon during a Violent Crime.

Edwards is also charged with Burglary.

Chief Vaught says a number of people approached a home on Watson Street about 4:30 a.m. on August 9th and started shooting.

One man was wounded. He was treated at a Loris hospital.

Amanda Hardee, David Hemingway, Xavier Hemingway, and Christopher Green all turned themselves in.

Loris police are still looking for Dustin Stackhouse.

Vaught says there could be additional suspects and are still seeking information.

Police believe this shooting was related to another in Tabor City where a man was found shot in his car in a church parking lot. The man survived the shooting.
