Two people were killed in a crash on Dunbar Road in Georgetown County around 12:10 a.m.
, according to Georgetown County Deputy Coroner Sam Hodge.
Teneal Linen, 27, and Tyquan Jones, 19, were airlifted to separate hospitals following the crash, Hodge added.
Linen, the driver, was airlifted to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead
Jones was airlifted to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where he was later pronounced dead.
Senior Trooper Bridget Wyant with Highway Patrol said Linen ran off the left side of the road, hit a ditch, then the car flipped over several times. Linen was thrown from the car, according to Wyant.
Jones was trapped inside the car and had to be extricated by emergency crews, added Wyant.
Linen and Jones were not wearing seat belts, according to Wyant.
