The Florence County Sheriff's Office says Terry Lee Brown, 43, of Scranton, was charged Tuesday with two counts of Attempted Murder, one count of Discharging Firearms into a Dwelling and one count of Discharging Firearms into a Vehicle.
They also charged Joseph Antione Simmons, 25, of Olanta, with two counts of Attempted Murder, one count of Discharging Firearms Into a Dwelling, one count of Discharging Firearm into a Vehicle, one count of Armed Robbery while armed with a deadly weapon, and one count of Ill Treatment of an Animal.
Deputies say the charges stem from a series of incidents which occurred on or about August 20, 2011.
They say Brown and Simmons fired a number of shots into an occupied vehicle on Rae Street in Lake City, and struck an occupied home on Eugene Street near Lake City.
Deputies say Simmons also robbed the owner of a moped at gunpoint near Olanta Highway and Oak Grove Road near Effingham and shot a dog on Airport Circle on the same day.
Brown appeared before a Florence County Magistrate Wednesday and was denied bond.
Investigators have also obtained arrest warrants for another co-defendant, Tabias Lorland McFadden, of Olanta.
