Two charged with conspiracy after shooting of three teens in Lumberton

Jasean Rakeem McArn, 21 , and Jaquan Quadrick McLellan, 19, have been charged in connection with the Thursday night shooting of three teens in Lumberton, according to Captain Terry Parker with Lumberton police.

Both have been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and conspiracy to commit murder, Parker said.

The victims, ages 16, 17 and 18, were shot at Godwin Heights in the 1100 block of East 13th Street.

Parker said two of the teens are listed in critical condition and the other as serious.

He added an off-duty auxiliary police officer pursued one of the suspects and detained them until police arrived.

More arrest are likely as the investigation continues, Parker said.
