Two charged in Robeson County murder
Robeson County, N.C. (WPDE) —
Sikia Artis Jr., 24, and Daquanta Armond Dixon, 19, have been charged with first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and first degree burglary in the death of David McLean, 58, last month in the Maxton area of Robeson County, according to Maxton Police Chief Tammy Deese.
Deese said McLean was found dead Dec. 7 from an apparent gunshot wound on McLaughlin St. in Maxton.
A motive hasn't been released in the shooting.
Artis and Dixon are being held in the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations assisted in the investigation.
