North Myrtle Beach, S.C. (WPDE) —
A man and a woman are in police custody after a burglary and shooting that happened on Jan. 14 at a home in North Myrtle Beach.
Miracle Evans, 25, of Little River, and Jiah Clarke, 20, of Longs, are both charged with attempted murder and burglary after the shooting on 39th Avenue South.
The home owner told police he was inside the home with his girlfriend and their infant son when the burglary and shooting happened, according to a police report.
He reportedly returned fire at the suspects and "There were multiple empty shell casings laying on the floor in the living room of the house," the report stated.
A black handgun was also reportedly dropped by the suspects near the door of the home.
Evans turned herself in to police on Jan. 30 and Clark was arrested on Feb. 8 after the SLED Fugitive Task Force found and arrested him.
Evans was released to home detention after being granted a $15,000 bond on each charge.
Clarke is still in custody at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
