Tropical Storm Andrea moving through South Carolina

Andrea has been weakening since landfall Thursday afternoon and is only producing bands of scattered showers now. Once these move through later this morning, expect only a few storms this afternoon, according to WPDE NewsChannel 15 Chief Meteorologist Ed Piotrowksi.

Derrec Becker with the South Carolina Emergency Management Division said no injuries have been reported in the state and there have been no reports of significant damage. Becker says some trees have been blown over.

South Carolina Electric & Gas Co. reported about 6,500 people without electric service in Charleston County.
