Troopers investigating deadly Darlington County motorcycle wreck

Darlington, S.C. (WPDE) – Troopers are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash in Darlington County.

The crash happened just before 8 p.m. on Dovesville Highway in between Ambergate Drive and Squirt Drive, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol’s website.

Troopers say the driver of a 2002 Chevy Impala was trying to turn left into a private driveway when the driver of a Suzuki motorcycle hit the front passenger side of the Impala.

39-year-old Cornelius Bush, of Society Hilly, was thrown off of his motorcycle and died on scene, according to Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee.

The driver of the Impala was not injured.

The Darlington County Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT Team are investigating.
