Darlington County schools and district offices will be closed Thursday . The decision about Friday, January 14th, will be made on Thursday after road conditions in the upper part of the county are re-assessed.
Dillon County School Districts 1, 2 and 3 will operate on a two hour delay Thursday.
Florence School District One classes will resume for students and staff members on a regular schedule on Thursday. Regularly scheduled classes are also planned for Friday, January 14th, which was originally scheduled as a teacher workday. In addition, students in Florence One are scheduled to make up the two other days missed on Monday, February 21st (President TMs Day) and Friday, March 11th, a date originally scheduled as a teacher workday. Florence One TMs examination schedule for middle and high school students is as follows: Thursday, January 13th examination review day; Friday, January 14th, Tuesday, January 18th and Wednesday, January 19th, examination dates. Schools will observe the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday on Monday, January 17th, and schools will be closed.

Southeastern Community College in Whiteville, North Carolina classes cancelled Thursday due to unsafe conditions on campus. Classes will resume Friday.
Marlboro County General Sessions 9 a.m. Thursday appearances are rescheduled for next Tues, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday appearances are rescheduled for next Thurs, Jan. 20, at 9 a.m.
