Three men arrested in connection to Myrtle Beach shooting incident

The investigation continues into a shooting reported to Myrtle Beach police Saturday night around 9:15 at 5th Avenue North and Chester Street.

Officers were called to the shooting and were looking for three men they believed were involved, according to the police report.

Officers saw the men walking on 7th Avenue North and Chester Street, then saw them getting into a Dodge SUV, according to the report.

Officers stopped the men from getting in the vehicle and searched the car. The report said officers found a handgun under the vehicle.

None of the men claimed ownership. All three were arrested on weapons violations.

Deshoun Davis, 20, of Gresham faces a charge of Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol.

Jevon Evans, 20, of Marion faces the same charge.

Ronnie Calhoun, 19, of Marion faces a charge of Unlawful Transportation of a Machine Gun or Sawed-off Shotgun or Rifle.

No one was hit in the incident, according to Myrtle Beach Police Captain David Knipes.
