People from around the country flocked to fast-food chain Chick-fil-A Wednesday to support the conservative marriage views of the restaurant's president, including right here in our area.
Dan Cathy said he supports a "biblical definition of the family unit," between a man and a woman.
At the North Myrtle Beach restaurant, the drive-through line wrapped around the building twice. The line inside the restaurant spilled out the door.
We had phone calls from the Florence restaurants at Magnolia Mall, Walmart and South Irby Street explaining similar situations.
At the Carolina Forest restaurant, parking overflowed into a back street and the restaurant itself was at full capacity.
Customers at Carolina Forest flooded orders from noon to 6 p.m. showing their support of Cathy's freedom to state his opinion.
y message today and the reason we are her
is to support a man who is expressing an opinion and that opinion should not result in him being penalized in any way in the business front
said Horry County resident Bob Squatriglia.
Proponents of same-sex marriage have their own protests planned including a "National Same-Sex Kiss Day" to be held at Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide on Friday.
