Teacher's Aide arrested for Unlawful Conduct Toward Child

Joyce Warriner

Horry County police charged a teacher, Anna Rogers, 38, and a teacher's aide, Linda Joyce Warriner, 46, with Unlawful Neglect of a Child.

The police report says Forestbrook Elementary School leaders called police to get their opinion on a situation.

They told the officer the parents of a 5-year-old child sent him to school with a digital recorder on him.

The recording portrayed Warriner as telling the child to go to "the office," which is a 5x5 foot bathroom, and telling him to repeat what he had done was bad and he wouldn't do it again, according to the report.

The child screams to stop pinching him and calls Warriner's name, but it is unclear who was doing the hitting or pinching the report says.

Also in the report, it says there was a point in the recording that a door could be heard shutting and Rogers and Warriner were talking and one of them said "something about it being a good thing that there are not cameras in the room yet."

Rogers and Warriner were booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center Wednesday.
