Teacher arrested for texting student

Georgetown County deputies arrested William Christopher Wall, 22, for sending inappropriate texts to a student at Waccamaw High School in Pawleys Island.

The girl told the principal on October 29 that she and Wall were communicating via text messages.

The Georgetown County Sheriff's School Resource Officer was notified and alerted investigators to respond.

Wall turned himself in to the sheriff's office on November 6.

Deputies charged him with one count of Unlawful Use of a Telephone.
