Conway police and city leaders are discussing installing cameras throughout the city.

Some of the places the cameras could be installed in include: Riverfront Park, Smith Jones Park, Collins Park, and the recreation center grounds. The city is talking about installing about eight cameras in total, according to Selena Small of Conway Police Department.

Leaders say the cameras aren't about high crime rates, but a way to keep the city safe.

Small said the wireless system will let Conway officers view the camera feed and see what's going on at a scene before arriving.
