Horry County police charged Jerry Love, 32, with Engaging Child Under 18 for Sexual Performance.

Love was a substitute teacher at Aynor High School.

The 16-year-old girl says it started when she and Love were on their way back from a church activity when she rubbed his leg and touched his private area by mistake. Love told her he liked it, according to the police report.

The two were involved in a sexual relationship since May 2012, the girl said.

The girl said in a statement that Love would pick her up from school and they would go to an abandoned golf course and have sex. Love would then drop her off at school where a parent would pick her up.

This all came to light, according to the report, when another girl started receiving messages from Love on a Yahoo! account. She said she started getting the messages after she became friends with the 16-year-old girl on Facebook. The second girl told a teacher the messages were making her uncomfortable. That girl also told the staff another student was also receiving messages from Love.

A third girl said in a statement that she and Love met at Walmart in Conway and he kissed her in the parking lot. But the girl says she pulled away because she knew it was wrong.
