Student athletes show off their skills in Myrtle Beach
More than 100 top student athletes from across the country spent the day at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach today for the start of the three-day Shamrock Invitational Track Meet.
With more than 55 colleges represented at the meet, the event gives athletes like Adria Hull of Troy University in Alabama the chance to beat not only their competitors, but also themselves.
That was actually a PR for me. Personal best. I've never jumped that high, and i was really excited," said Hull.
Tomorrow's main event will include Olympian Amber Campbell for the Invitational Women's Hammer Throw at 11:30 a.m.
The event runs until Saturday, and admission is $5 for adults and free for students.
