Student arrested after seen with gun in locker room

Myrtle Beach police arrested a 19-year-old student for carrying a gun on school property last month.

On December 18, Timothy Jevon Jones was seen carrying a gun in a locker room at Myrtle Beach High School, according to police.

Police arrested Jones on Friday after an investigation.

The charge of carrying weapons on school property is a felony.

Jones graduated from Myrtle Beach High in 2012. He was a standout on the football team and signed with the University of Kentucky to play football for the university. It is not clear why Jones was on the campus last month.

Jones is still a member of the UK team, according to University of Kentucky Athletics Media Relations Director Tony Neely.
