Strange behavior leads to arrest of former Destiny's Child member

Two men who were with Farrah Franklin, a former member of Destiny's Child, told police they could not control her and suspected she was using drugs the night she was arrested in Horry County, according to a police report.

According to a police report released by Horry County police Monday, a 24-year-old man said he flew Franklin in from out of state to spend time together. Franklin, the man and some other people went out Friday night and were drinking. The group then went to a 27-year-old man's house together.

Both the 24-year-old man and the 27-year-old man told officers Franklin was drunk when they got back to the house and both men suspected she was using drugs based on how she was acting.

The men said Frankin was yelling and slamming doors and both men tried to get her to stop and calm down, but she would not, according to the report.

They said Franklin ran from the home when they told her the police had been called.

The 24-year-old man said he last saw Franklin screaming in a neighbor's yard.

Police responded and found Franklin lying in a neighbor's yard, the report said. The officer said in the report that he could smell an alcoholic beverage emitting from her and that her eyes were blood shot and glassy and she was unsteady on her feet.

Franklin told the officer that she had been drinking, but she said she did not use any drugs, according to the report.

She also told the officer she didn't have anywhere else to go and was planning on sleeping in the woods that night.

The detention center's website shows she was booked at 4:55 a.m. on Saturday morning on a Disorderly Conduct charge. She has since been released.
