Folks along the entire South Carolina coast showed their appreciation for those who serve our nation.

From South Carolina's northern border with North Carolina all the way to the southern border with Georgia, red, white and blue lined the coast as four F-16's make their way from one end of the Palmetto State to the other in the Salute from the Shore.

People along the shore waved flags, saluted, and showed their spirit as the jets flew by on the nation's birthday.

It was the 2nd annual military flyover. It began at 1 p.m. and ran the entire coast in about 20 minutes, finishing at Hilton Head.

Helicopters also flew overhead videotaping the crowds on the beach waving the stars and stripes.

The video will then posted on line to be shared with veterans and active military all over the world.
