St. James Intermediate School set to open on time
Horry County, S.C. (WPDE) —
The second of three brand new schools expected to open for the new school year has passed its final inspection, according to Horry County School Board Chairman Joe Defeo.
In a conversation with ABC15 News, Defeo said St. James Intermediate School was not able to pass its second inspection Thursday because of a missing street sign.
Defeo said the sign was installed Friday afternoon.
The third school, Socastee Elementary School, failed its Thursday inspection on four minor issues.
Defeo said all issues were taken care of Friday afternoon and the school will be re-inspected early next week.
