This holiday season, several stores are staying open around the clock to give you more time to complete your Christmas shopping.
Kohl's near the Highway 17 Bypass and Highway 544 will remain open from 6 a.m. Friday, Dec 20 to 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
"I feel sorry for the employees, but I guess for the people that work and are doing their last minute shopping, this is probably a good thing for them," said Barbara Marshall as she shopped at Kohl's.
Kathy Martin was up shopping at 4:30 Friday morning. She says she prefers to shop at odd hours.
"Less traffic, less folks out shopping, and you've got plenty of elbow room," said Martin.
But Martin always makes sure to stay safe while shopping out late at night.
"If I'm going in before daylight, I usually shop until it's daylight or until a lot of people come in," said Martin.
Kohl's managers said employees aren't having to work overtime, instead the store hired more people to handle the overnight shifts.
Some shoppers thought it was a good idea to be open 24 hours a day during the holiday season, but not everyone said they'd actually take advantage of it.
"I wouldn't go anywhere at 3 a.m.," said Dan Sommer.
Toys "R" Us stores nationwide are expected to stay open for 87 hours straight. We're still waiting for official word on the one in Myrtle Beach.
