Some events canceled due to "Sandy"

While Hurricane Sandy will pass far off the coast of South Carolina, we are expected to get winds and rain as the storm makes its way to the northeast.

Below are the cancellations and delays that have come in to our newsroom as a result of the storm:

*The costume contest in Celebrity Square at Broadway at the Beach originally planned for Saturday night has been postponed and will take place next Saturday, November 3rd.

*1st Annual Murrells Inlet Spearfishing Tournament & Lionfish Rodeo scheduled for Thursday through Saturday was canceled. It will be rescheduled for Spring 2013.

*The Grand Strand Humane Society's Walk for the Animals has been rescheduled for Sunday, November 11th at Broadway at the Beach. The parade registration will begin at 1 p.m. and the event should end at 5 p.m.

*The Endless Summer Festival scheduled for October 27 in North Myrtle Beach has been canceled. - the concert will be in the OD Beach Club. Doors open at 11 a.m. The concert begins at 12:30 p.m. and goes until 4 p.m.

*Howl-O-Scream at McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach had been postponed. It has been moved to Wednesday, October 31, 5 p.m. - 8 pm at McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach.

*Church of Resurrection rescheduled its 4th Annual Trunk or Treat for Wednesday, October 31st 6:30 - 8 p.m., 8901 Highway 17Bypass, Surfside Beach (843) 215-4500.

*Dancing with Wool - The largest yarn bombing project of its kind in South Carolina has been rescheduled to Sunday at 8 a.m. at the Conway Riverfront Park at the Gazebo. A crochet and knitting workshop has also been rescheduled for 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday at the Gazebo.

*From Brookgreen Gardens... The Brew at the Zoo on Saturday has been moved to Sunday, October 28 from 6 - 9 p.m.

*Redemption Church in Conway, Fall Festival for Saturday has been cancelled and moved to next Saturday from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
