A Winter Weather Advisory expired at 11am this morning for Darlington, Dillon, Marlboro, Chesterfield, Scotland and Robeson counties.
The storm system I've been tracking for several days is right on schedule and will produce rain and snow through Thursday morning. After 4am, colder air moved in from the north and areas of rain began to change to snow in Cheraw, Bennettsville, Lumberton and Laurinburg. We also saw snow in Hartsville, Darlington, and Dillon. Video of the snowfall in Dillon is attached to this story.
By mid-morning Thursday, precipitation moves out and skies clear. Sunshine and afternoon temperatures in the 40s will melt any snow that did stick, so you won't have any driving problems Thursday afternoon or night.
Following this round of wintry precipitation, Dry weather returns and temperatures will be on the rise. Expect highs on Friday near 50, mid 50s Saturday and low 60s by Sunday. The entire weekend will be filled with sunshine!
