Chester County officials say two people have been found dead in a small plane that had been missing on a flight from North Carolina to Georgia.
Chester County Coroner Terry Tinker identified the victims as Ericson Davis, 24, and Anisa Rossi, 22.
Emergency Management Director Eddie Murphy said the plane was found in some woods around 4 p.m. Monday near the Broad River about 10 miles south of the Chester-Catawba Regional Airport.
Lt. Robert McCullough with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources says the single-engine plane had taken off from Wilmington, North Carolina on Friday and was headed to Clayton, Georgia. The plane had been reported missing Sunday.
Officials had been trying to track the plane and Murphy said he was notified Monday morning the plane was thought to be in Chester County.
