Sheriff: Four arrested, one wanted for trying to 'poison our community and our children' (MCDC)

Four people have been arrested and another person is still wanted in Marion County on drugs and weapon charges.

According to a news release from Marion County Sheriff's Office, drug agents served a search warrant on a home on West Marion Street in Mullins on Wednesday.

Authorities say marijuana, crack cocaine, pills, and an AR-15 with a high capacity magazine were seized.

Sheriff Brian Wallace said he's happy to help remove some of the potential for negative influences in the community.

“Our deputies again were able to take illegal narcotics and guns out of the hands of these criminals who intended to poison our community and our children. These young people are drug dealers that had a total disregard for those citizens that live in the same community as them. I am glad to take them, the drugs, and the guns off the street and make it safer today.”

The following individuals were arrested:

  • Terrance Genwright, 24, of Marion
  • Miracle McCall, 25, of Mullins
  • Kentrell Thompson, 20, of Nichols
  • Tyshan Scott, 24, of Mullins

All four were charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, first offense, possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, first offense, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, first offense, and possession with intent to distribute Schedule IV controlled substance, first offense.

The arrestees are currently being held in the Marion County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

Authorities say Christopher Terrell Jordan, 24, of Mullins, is still wanted on drug charges.
