Shakeup on Conway city council after election

Only one incumbent was re-elected outright in Tuesday's election. One incumbent has lost her seat, and the other is in a runoff in two weeks to try to keep his.

Challenger Barbara Jo Blain-Olds got more votes than any other candidate with 1,042 votes. Incumbent Larry White received 874 votes. Both of them had a simple majority, which was enough to win the seats outright.

There will be a runoff on November 22nd for the third seat between incumbent Tom Anderson and Randy Alford. As long as you're a registered voted in the City of Conway, you can vote in the runoff even if you didn't vote in the November 8th election.

Incumbent Vivian Chestnut lost her seat Tuesday.

Conway Mayor Alys Lawson ran unopposed.
