Myrtle Beach Police are asking for the public's help in locating a person wanted for questioning about the gun that was left in a Myrtle Beach Target.

Chavonne Tere Moore is wanted for questioning and is the last known registered owner of the gun that was found in the toy aisle of the Target, according to a Myrtle Beach Police release.

According to a Myrtle Beach police report, a loaded gun was found in the toy aisle of the Target on Seaboard Street in Myrtle Beach on Friday.

A loss prevention officer with Target noticed an empty wrapper in the toy aisle and thought someone had shoplifted and left the empty wrappings, the report said.

While looking for that merchandise, he saw a black handgun on the shelf lying in a superhero toy box. He thought it was a toy gun until he realized it was fully loaded with live ammunition.

Myrtle Beach police took the gun, which was a highpoint 9mm, and eight ammunition rounds. The gun had not been reported stolen, according to the report.

A tip that lead to the arrest of the person or people responsible for this crime could result in a reward of up to $1,000.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective H Jones with any information at 843-918-1911.
