Seaside Elementary holds "family fitness" night
Horry County, S.C. (WPDE) —
Seaside Elementary School students and parents danced, kicked, and stretched their way through the school's first ever "Family Fitness" event Tuesday night.
The families were treated to three mini-classes, which were a preview of the school's upcoming physical education curriculum, and encouraged people to get active.
"You know you got to take care of your body," Physical Education teacher Michelle Arnold said. "Your peers can encourage you to do the right thing, I can encourage you to do the right thing. But ultimately you're the responsible party to take care of your body."
Around 100 people participated in the event.
Arnold said she could bring it back next year.
