Update: A missing kayaker off Murrels Inlet has been found, brought back to shore, and is doing fine, according to Coast Guard Petty Officer Patrick Schwab.
A search is underway in Murrells Inlet for a missing kayaker.
According to witnesses on the scene, the U.S. Coast Guard is using boats and a helicopter to search for the missing kayaker.
According to the Georgetown Times, Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire began the search for the missing 50-60 year old man around 6 p.m. The man was last seen on a blue kayak between Marlin Quay and Crazy Sister Marina.
